Every story in this wing runs on one premise: the extraordinary in a person is dormant, not absent. Not a gift handed to a chosen few, a set of faculties every human being technically owns and almost nobody trains. Attention that does not wander. Will that survives the third week. Nerve under a real stake. Perception fine enough to catch what a room is actually doing.
So these are not stories about being given a power. They are stories about somebody opening that door on purpose, deliberately, unglamorously, usually alone, and then finding out what it asks for in return. Because the training is never the hard part. The hard part is that a person who has genuinely woken something up cannot go back to being the person who had not.
Where the Occult wing is about knowledge that comes from outside and has to be granted. This wing is the opposite. Nothing here is granted. Everything here is built, and the bill comes to the builder.
Written as fiction about human capacity and its price, not as instruction, and not as a claim about what anyone can actually do. For entertainment and self-exploration.
